Roads

The park is covered by good network roads. Common roads include main access roads and game drive roads. Private secondary roads give access to the dwelling units. All roads except the game roads are suitable for sedan vehicles.

Water

A water reticulation system consisting of pipelines and reservoirs is already in place, providing water to the boundary of each dwelling unit, from where it is the responsibility of the owner to distribute it underground to the dwelling unit. The system belongs to and is maintained by the Commiphora Home Owners Association.

Electricity

On the western half of Commiphora electricity is supplied by Eskom via a 22 KVA backbone power line. The electricity point of delivery (POD) is at the boundary of each unit, from where it is the responsibility of the owner to distribute it underground to the dwelling unit. It is experienced that new home owners prefer solar energy above Eskom electricity and current residents that have done so are very satisfied.

Boundaries & Fences

The CHOA owns and maintains the Commiphora boundary fences and all fences on common areas. Each portion has a specially selected "dwelling section" of 1 hectare. Owners may erect their own boundary fence around the dwelling section in accordance with the architectural guidelines.

Airstrip

A well constructed gravel airstrip will provide access to Commiphora by air. Owners will be given the opportunity to build their own hangars at the airstrip.

Other Infrastructure

Other common infrastructure includes several earth dams spread over the park so that game will not concentrate on one place, game fence around the park, irrigation line, boreholes and service unit. All common infrastructures are maintained by CHOA.
